Section 5: Securing the

Child in the Coupe

NOTE: The infant carrier comes with a newborn

insert and an infant head pillow. These are for

children who weigh between 4 and 12 lbs. They

may be removed once they become too snug for

the child.

1. Loosen the harness

system. Press

the adjuster lever

located at the front

of the seat and pull

the shoulder straps

forward.

2. Open the chest

clip by pressing the

button in the middle

of the chest clip

3. Open the buckle

by pressing the red

button. Place the

harness straps to

the side.

4. Seat the child in the

infant restraint with

his/her bottom fully

back into the seat.

Position the harness

straps around the

child and fasten

both latch plates

into the buckle.

5. Fasten the chest clip.

6. Pull up on each

shoulder strap to

tighten the lower

section of the

harness.

7. Tighten the harness

by pulling adjuster

strap straight out

through the adjuster

ap. The harness

webbing should be

snug around the

child in both the

lap and shoulder

sections. Slide chest

clip so it is at the

child’s armpit level.
